Heritage

Ńkiere, is my family name which comes from the Sakata tribe who reside in the Democratic Republic of Congo; which means 'born in the rain'.

We, Congolese, are renown for our strong taste in style and dress. Most notably, the 'Sape' culture, the Society of Ambiance Makers and Elegant People, (Société des Ambianceurs et des Personnes Élégantes in French). However, my pursuit stretches beyond the name brands and labels,

Born and raised in London, I was privileged to have gained experience within several renowned menswear tailoring brands such as, Richard James Savile Row.

These experiences helped inspire and teach me of the core values and traditions of British tailoring. Which would allow me to begin to embark on a journey where I sought to create my unique style of dress. This in turn would also be  key in forging a great desire to be a tailoring brand that constructs a bridge between the British traditional craftsmanship and the Congolese culture’s sense and taste for style.

When you wear a garment from our atelier, you wear a legacy, a tale of cross-continental collaboration woven with passion and precision.
